For too long we had watched
the horrific acts of terrorism,
committed elsewhere in the world,
on the nightly news.

They happened in far-away places.
Countries with foreign names,
some of which we could not even pronounce...

We'd told ourselves
"It can't happen HERE !",
but it COULD...
It DID...

What started out as just another Tuesday morning in America
has become a date in time when
"The evil that man hath wrought"
swiftly stole away our feelings of safety & security.

THOUSANDS of people were lost
not in battle,
but while simply going about their daily lives
in The Land Of The Free.

Many of them were lost
while performing their duties
as heroic representives
of The Home Of The Brave.

"We, The People",
as all too many people on this Earth,
were made victims of this insanity,
& our lives will never be the same again.

But, in the depths of our horror, sadness & sorrow,
we must find the strength to go on...

We must join with other countries of The World
who believe, as we do,
that terrorism is not an option
to be inflicted by crazed zealots,
in the name of  God
who  IS  NOT  WITH  THEM !
 

Together,
we must take a stand,
& say,

   "ENOUGH !!!"

Together,
we must all be ready
to defend our wonderful country,
it's people,
& ALL the people of The World
who's lives & way of life
have been continuously threatened
 because of these maniacs !

And, through diplomacy, negotiations,
& whatever other means we have at our disposal,
The World must come together
on common ground
to end this threat
     ONCE & FOR ALL !!
 

September 11, 2001, was a dark day in
The History of America & The World.
May we all have the courage
to find our way back to The Light !

As Lady Liberty watched that day,
there was nothing she could do
for the victims of this heinous act
& those in service, too.

How could this be in America,
the Home of The Brave & The Free ?
Things like this only happened
in lands far across The Sea !

But on this black day terror came Home
& many innocents died
And, though it can't be proven,
it's said The Lady cried...

A Personal Plea

It has been said that these atrocities were committed
"in the name of Allah"
& this is "a holy war".
I know many fine people of the Islamic faith
who will assure you that
THESE TERRORISTS WERE NOT TRUE MUSLIMS,
as THEIR religion teaches
peace, tolerance, & love for one's fellow man,
& would NEVER condone such actions !!!

!!! PLEASE !!!!
DO NOT STOOP TO THE LEVEL OF THE TERRORISTS
BY ATTACKING OR HARASSING
INNOCENT PEOPLE SIMPLY BECAUSE OF
THEIR RELIGION, NAME, COLOR OF THEIR SKIN,
    OR ETHNIC BACKGROUND !!
